A few years ago, I was asked to describe or define BTM Solutions and what we do in a concise sentence or phrase. After a few minutes of replaying our past 35+ years in the IT industry, there was one common thread … CHANGE. During my entire adult working life, I have been a change agent for hundreds, if not thousands, of clients.
In the beginning, we were moving people from ledger cards and posting machines to newfangled gadgets called computers. (Back then you picked your hardware and then found the software … more on those changes in another blog!) Then we started changing people to our software from other software that hadn’t kept up or was no longer useable.
As time progressed, not only did the software change, the capabilities changed and the expectations of our clients changed. Over the years we’ve focused on helping people through those various changes in their businesses and to become more profitable through the proper use of technology.
Through everything, one consistent trend has been change, and it continues on. Another consistent aspect is people. The biggest reason our team exists is not to sell software – we exist and thrive to help people be better at their jobs, to help companies become more stable and stronger, and to help teams come together and work together.
So you see, in a nutshell, at BTM Solutions we are agents of change, and our goal is to change businesses by changing people. It’s a daunting job sometimes, but when done well, our biggest joy comes from someone saying that we really made their life easier with what we did for them. That is the core of our company and our motivation!
